We're so excited for the annual Loogootee Summerfest Queen Pageant! This event is truly a highlight of our Summerfest celebration and a fantastic opportunity to recognize and celebrate the wonderful young people right here in our Loogootee Community Schools. It's an evening that showcases their spirit, confidence, and connection to our town.
Who Can Participate? (Pageant Divisions)
The pageant is open to students in Loogootee Community Schools, with different divisions based on their grade level for the 2025-2026 school year:
- Tiny Tot: Kindergarten through 2nd grade
- Little Miss: 3rd through 5th grade
- Junior Miss: 6th through 8th grade
- Miss: 9th through 12th grade
Interested in Entering the Pageant? (For K-12)
- Eligibility: Participants must be enrolled in a Loogootee Community School, must never have been married, and must not have any children.
- Entry Fee: A $25 entry fee is required when you submit the application.
- Application Deadline: Please make sure we receive all applications by Friday, May 16, 2025.
- How to Get & Submit Applications: You can pick up application forms at any Loogootee school or at City Hall. Completed applications and the fee can be submitted to Tara Lengacher at the Elementary School or Nikki Wagoner at the High/Middle School.

- Date: Wednesday, June 11, 2025
- Location: Loogootee Municipal Building
- What to Bring: Please bring a 4x6 headshot (this will be used for a group photo for local newspaper/social media).
- Attire: Please wear a summer dress.
- Schedule:
- Tiny Tot: 6:00 PM
- Little Miss: 6:30 PM
- Junior Miss & Miss: 7:00 PM
- On-Stage Practice:
- Date: Wednesday, June 18, 2025
- Location: South side of the square/fountain in downtown Loogootee (near the Summerfest Stage area).
- What to Bring/Wear: Please wear the shoes you plan to wear with your evening gown.
- Important: Also bring your Community Service donations for the Martin County Humane Society at this practice for judging.
- Schedule:
- Tiny Tot: 6:00 PM
- Little Miss: 6:30 PM
- Junior Miss & Miss: 7:00 PM
- 2025 Summerfest Queen Pageant Event:
- Date: Thursday, June 19, 2025
- Time: The event begins at 6:00 PM, starting with the charming Princess and Prince event!
- Location: The Summerfest Stage downtown Loogootee.
Community Service Award
Beyond grace and presence, the pageant recognizes the importance of giving back. An award will be presented in each pageant category to the contestant who collects the most items for the Martin County Humane Society. It's a wonderful way to make a positive impact! Please bring your collected items to the stage practice on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
Princess and Prince Event
We also have a special moment for the younger children!
- Who Can Participate?: This fun, non-competitive event is for children ages 3 to 5 who will NOT be in Kindergarten or a higher grade during the 2025-2026 school year.
- It's All for Fun!: This is not a competition; every child participating will receive a crown!
- Attire: Participants can wear casual attire.
- Entry Fee: There is no entry fee for this event.
- When and Where: Little Princes and Princesses should report to the Summerfest stage downtown Loogootee at the very start of the Summerfest pageant event on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 6:00 PM.
- How to Register: To register your child, please contact Sabrina Keller at 812-827-9533. Be ready to provide the child’s name, age, your name(s) as parent/guardian, and a contact phone number.
