Yes, all golf carts must be registered annually before use on city streets. First-time registration costs $25.00 and renewal fee costs $10.00. This can be done at the Police Department in-person.
Golf carts must meet all inspection requirements for new registration. Inspection checklist is as follows:
- Headlights and tail lights
- Seatbelts
- Slow Moving Vehicle (SMV) sign
- Rearview mirror
- Flashing red or amber light (Red must only be visible from rear and side)
- Proof of Insurance
