For employers:

One of the new features of the website is the "Submit a job posting" page, where you can easily fill out information about an open position and submit it to the city for review. This page can be found by going to the "Jobs" page of the website, and then clicking on the "Submit a job posting" button.

To use the form, you will need to fill out the following information:

  • Contact Information: The name, phone number, and email address of the hiring manager to contact with any questions. This will be used by the Mayor's Office to answer any submission questions, and also be listed publicly on the job posting to aid job seekers who have additional questions.
  • Employer Name: The name of the business or organization that is hiring for the position
  • Employment Type: full-time, part-time, contract, temporary (including internships), or seasonal
  • Job Title: The title of the open position
  • Work Location: The physical location of the job
  • Compensation: The payment given to an individual in exchange for their services. This should be a number.
  • Compensation Unit: Choose between "per hour" or "per year."
  • Job Summary: Provide 2-3 paragraphs describing your company, a summary of the position, and what makes the position attractive.
  • Job Duties & Responsibilities: List the core responsibilities of the role. These responsibilities should give candidates a clear idea of what their day to day in this position would look like.
  • Candidate Requirements & Qualifications: Outline the requirements for this role. Such as any technical or interpersonal skills, types and years of work experience, education required, certifications, licenses or accreditations needed, necessary travel, language. physical abilities, extended or uncommon working hours, etc.
  • Benefits (optional): Highlight the benefits of working with your company. Do you offer anything unique to your employees such as; College Reimbursement, 401k match, health insurance, generous parental leave, etc.
  • Application Deadline: The last date applications will be accepted. Job posting will be removed from the job board after this date.

Once you have filled out the form, click the "Submit" button to send it to the Mayor's Office for review. Once the posting is approved, you will receive an email notification and your job posting will be published to the job board for everyone to see. Job seekers will be able to apply directly on the job posting page by filling out the "Apply now" form. Their information will be forwarded directly to the hiring manager for consideration.
