TRAFFIC ALERT: Upcoming Walnut Street Closure
Upcoming construction will impact how some people normally access their residences as Walnut Street will be closed. Work will begin on Wednesday August 12 2026, and is anticipated to have a 5-day duration.
Infrastructure Systems, Inc. will be working on replacing a 48” and 18” culvert at the intersection of Walnut Street and Southgate Street in Loogootee. This construction will impact how some normally access their residences as Walnut Street will be closed. Work will begin on Wednesday August 12 2026, and is anticipated to have a 5-day duration. The Road Closure will begin at 8 AM and last until 5 PM daily. The road will be opened over the weekend since work is anticipated to carry over into the following week.

Infrastructure Systems, Inc. will work with residents to make sure you have access to your home and will do everything possible to minimize the disruption. All excavated areas will be backfilled or covered with steel plates and made traversable by vehicles by the end of the workday.
