TRAFFIC ALERT: Road Closures This Weekend for Gobble Wobble 5K & Christmas Tree Lighting
The City of Loogootee and the Loogootee Beautification Board would like to notify residents of temporary road closures scheduled for community events this weekend: the Gobble Wobble 5K and the Christmas Tree Lighting. Please plan alternate routes accordingly.
Gobble Wobble 5K Road Closures (Saturday, November 29th)
The annual Gobble Wobble 5K will require temporary road closures on Saturday, November 29th. The closures will be in effect on race morning from 7:30 AM until 10:00 AM at the latest.
Portions of the following roads will be closed to vehicle traffic during the race period:
- Park St.
- John C. Strange St.
- West side of Washington St.
- Dewey St.
- SW Second St.
- SW Third St.
- West end of Main St.
The full 5K route is detailed on the map pictured below. We thank residents for their patience and support as the City hosts this fun community event.
Christmas Tree Lighting Road Closures (Sunday, November 30th)
Temporary closures will also be in effect for the Loogootee Christmas Tree Lighting event on Sunday, November 30th.
The closures will take place on Sunday, November 30th, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the following streets:
- Railroad St: Closed at S John F Kennedy Ave.
- Church St: Closed at S John F Kennedy Ave.
- 1st St: Closed at Church St and at E Main St.
