URGENT TRAFFIC ALERT: Road Closure in Loogootee

LOOGOOTEE, IN – May 5, 2025 – Please be advised that the intersection of West Main Street and Sheridan Street, extending to Wood Street, is currently closed to traffic. This section of the road will remain closed until approximately 4:00 PM today, May 5th, 2025.

A contractor is installing gas lines in the area. Please seek alternate routes and avoid the area if possible.

The City of Loogootee Board of Works, with the concurrence of Mayor Brian T. Ader, has reviewed the previously issued City Travel Advisory. The Local Disaster Emergency for the City has now been lifted, effective immediately. The City’s Travel Advisory status has been lowered to "Watch."
