2nd Annual Gobble Wobble 5K, 1-Mile Fun Run & Lil' Gobbler Dash

The City of Loogootee invites runners, walkers, families, and trotters of all paces to join us for our hometown Thanksgiving tradition on Saturday, November 28, 2026, at Loogootee City Park. Whether you are running for a personal record, walking with family, or cheering on the little ones, we have a race distance for everyone.

Pick Your Wobble

5K Run/Walk ($25 per person)

The full turkey trot is 3.1 miles through the city. The course starts at Loogootee City Park, then heads out into the city streets rather than staying on the park walking trail. Run it, walk it, or wobble it -- all paces are welcome. The 5K route map will be posted at a later date alongside road closure notices.

1-Mile Fun Run ($15 per child)

A short, sweet loop along the walking trail at Loogootee City Park designed for families, beginners, and anyone saving room for pie.

Lil' Gobbler Dash ($15 per child)

A short sprint just for our littlest turkeys along the Loogootee City Park walking trail, featuring big cheers for tiny legs.
